Primary Purpose:

Responsible for promoting favorable perceptions of Southern California Gas Company and San Diego Gas & Electric and creating loyalty for customer programs and services through media relations. Candidate must be fluent (both written and spoken) in Spanish. This position is located in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

On a proactive basis, this position is responsible for: 

• Providing media relations support for customer programs and field operations
• Establishing and maintaining a liaison role with other departments (including field operations) to maximize early-stage communications  and consistent messages
• Developing press releases, media talking points and other editorial materials
• Providing crisis communications support during emergencies and emergency drills

 This position must work across functions seamlessly.

Required Experience:

 Requirements:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or related filed and three years experience or equivalent training and/or experience in public relations or the news media.
